Cheesecake Factory Orange Coconut Cream Soda
It’s not on the menu anymore, but The Cheesecake Factory used to have a divine Blood Orange Coconut Cream Soda. So of course, I had to make my own, which you can find here.
This Simple Coconut Orange Cream Soda is even easier to throw together, with fewer ingredients and a slightly different flavor. It’s so delicious.
Try both and let me know your favorite!
How to make Orange Coconut Cream Soda
This recipe is written for one serving of Orange Coconut Cream Soda. I recommend making this for each individual glass vs. a pitcher. The ingredients can easily separate if not thoroughly mixed. Plus, it looks most stunning in a single glass!
To assemble, this mocktail is beautifully simple:
- Drop a few cubes of ice into your favorite mocktail glasses.
- Mix the Cream of Coconut and lime together in a separate bowl.
- Pour mixture over the ice.
- Top with soda (sparkling orange water) and enjoy!
If you’d like, garnish with a swoosh of whipped cream for a fluffy, decadent treat.
Ingredients for Simple Orange Coconut Cream Soda
The key ingredient that makes this recipe is sparkling soda water. I just found it at Walmart! It’s sweetened with aspartame, so it tastes like soda, but it’s clear and comes in many different flavors.
I purchased the Mandarin Orange flavor. I noticed an orange cream flavor, which I think would also work.
If you cannot find this brand of soda, I recommend using an unsweetened, orange-flavored sparkling water. Then add about a tablespoon of additional simple syrup to the recipe. Another option is to use sparkling water or club soda and add a splash of fresh or packaged orange juice.
Other than the sparkling water, you’ll just need some fresh lime juice, ice, and Cream of Coconut.
What is Cream of Coconut?
I knew that coconut milk itself wasn’t going to give enough coconut flavor since it’s very subtle, so I used Cream of Coconut. Cream of Coconut is not the same thing as Coconut Cream or Coconut Milk.
Cream of Coconut is a sweet, thick, syrupy concoction. It’s typically used in mixed drinks like Pina Coladas or smoothies.
Cream of Coconut is simply sugar and concentrated coconut milk/cream. It does not contain dairy or alcohol. However, you will find this ingredient in the liquor aisle at your grocery story or the liquor store!
When to serve mocktails?
Though mocktails can feel intimidatingly fancy, they’re surprisingly simple to whip up! Mocktails are an easy way to elevate any occasion:
- Baby shower
- Bridal shower
- End of summer party
- Holiday meal or party
- Dinner party or a causal meal with friends
Try serving them with some cheese for an impressive appetizer, or bring them out after the meal as a festive companion to dessert—or as dessert itself!
