Notes

  • Rinse Jasmine rice before cooking until the water runs clear. Do not soak Jasmine rice, as it will compromise the soft grain's structural integrity.
  • Do not leave rice in the Instant Pot on Keep Warm mode for too long; my limit is 30-60 minutes. The keep warm mode will dry out the rice and can cause it to stick to the liner. Instead, I prefer to just turn off the Instant Pot and keep the lid on. It will stay warm for a long time.
  • Adding salt is personal preference. Omit if you don't prefer salted rice.
  • For one cup dry jasmine rice to 1 1/4 cups water.
  • For two cups of jasmine rice, use 2 1/2 cups water.
  • For three cups of jasmine rice, use 3 3/4 cups water.
  • For four cups of jasmine rice, use 5 cups water.
  • For five cups of jasmine rice, use 6 1/4 cups water.
